There’s a particular magic to the Lorain Raceway Park Experience…one that’s hard to describe…one that must be felt in person. There’s nothing quite like short track racing under the lights. After all, that’s how NASCAR’s fame began to build over 75 years ago. It’s the perfect recipe for excitement…close quarters, talented drivers, carefully engineered cars, and a shot at the ultimate dream…the title “Champion”.
Come to “The County”, sit back, and enjoy the thrilling race program that the talented drivers will provide. Of course, we appreciate your input to help make Lorain Raceway Park as pleasant and enjoyable for your family as possible. Lorain Raceway Park is a General Admission seating facility, you may sit in any available seat in our grandstands. Please take note that other race fans and families may mark off seats with blankets or cushions, please respect others’ property. Families or groups with children under the age of 12 are asked to sit in the main grandstand.
The Family Section, located directly in front of the Race Control Tower, is a No Smoking & No Alcohol seating area.
Restrooms are located towards Turn 1 behind the grandstands, just past the Concession Stand.
Our Concession Stand is fully stocked with a variety of food and beverage items from Popcorn to Pepsi products we have it all for you!
Have a birthday, anniversary or something else you want announced during the racing program? Please bring your request (i.e. birthdays, weddings, and anniversaries) to the Main Ticket Office early in the evening. Time permitting, Lorain Raceway Park will try to announce your message.
Because we are a family friendly facility, fans using abusive language or those deemed to be intoxicated will be asked to leave the Park. Please report any disturbances to the nearest uniformed staff member or to the Main Ticket Office.

What is the schedule of events on race night?
Our drivers begin their race night in Practice, these short timed sessions are also used to set qualifying times for most events.
The first race you will see on track is generally a “Heat Race”, these 8-10 lap races usually split the field into two, three, four and sometimes more races to set the stage for the main event later in the program.
Each division of cars on track will race a Feature event, these races are longer and have victory lane celebrations, trophy presentations and winners interviews after they are complete. Generally, the Feature will have all the cars on the track at one time, or in some cases all of the cars that qualified through their heat races on track.
