The Painesville Speedway ownership and The Painesville Speedway Hall of Fame Board are pleased to announce the Hall of Fame inductees for the Class of 2025 to be celebrated on Saturday May 31st.

The first inductee is Nestor Bagliano.  Mr. Bagliano began racing at the Painesville Speedway in the 90’s running off an on in the Trophy Stock division.  It wasn’t until the inception of the front wheel drive Factory 4 division where he really stepped into championship form taking the 1998 Championship in his familiar red and white Dodge.

The second inductee is none other than Kenny Bender Sr.  Mr. Bender has done it all at The Painesville Speedway winning his first championship in the Figure 8 division in 1989.  He followed that up with an unprecedented run in the 90’s in the familiar #89 Sportsman winning championships in ’93, .94, ’95 and ’96.

The third inductee is Kevin Bock.  Mr. Bock was a staple in the Figure 8 division in the early 90’s winning a Figure 8 championship in 1992.  He returned to action in the late 90’s wheeling his General Lee lookalike #81 which the tradition is being carried on this year by his son in the Old-School Figure 8 division.

The fourth inductee is Bobby Conklin.  Mr. Conklin was the long-time announcer for multiple racetracks in Ohio including Lorain, Cloverleaf and our very own Painesville Speedway.  He was seen before the races getting to know all the drivers new and old to put his colorful spin on announcing at the fabled Battleground.

The fifth inductee is Gary May.  Mr. May was a long-time competitor throughout various tracks in the region dating back to the 70’s.  He compiled many victories including a few big Sportsman victories throughout his career.

The sixth inductee is Zac Brunkala.  Mr. Brunkala while he may not have been with us for a long time, his impact embodied what it means to be a Painesville Speedway racer through and through.  Scoring victories throughout the various Ohio tracks, Zac genuinely would give the shirt off his back to help a fellow competitor.  His spirit continues to watch over the competition.
